Jared Souney

Jared started riding BMX bikes around 1983. Jared started going to competitions in 1985, and haven’t stopped riding since. It wasn’t until Jared was in College for Graphic Design that he started getting into photography. Naturally, since BMX photography was what inspired him to get into art in the first place, and since he was around bikes all the time to begin with, he gravitated toward BMX photography. After a lot of trial and error, he started shooting more seriously around 1997, and has been doing it since. I guess, technically, that makes him a BMX photographer.

Comparing

There isn't allot of different between my work and Seung work as the method of working is the same as there is more than one image put together. The only major difference is that i used a character instead of different landscape together. What Seung has done is taken 3 different landscape images and cut out in this case the Eiffel tower and the mona lisa and put them  into one image to create this collage of different landscapes.

Both images have a 3D feel as there is a perpective to the different subject. I think my image looks more realistic due to the shadows his image looks as it has been put together because it looks to flat.

Fantasy Landscape

For this task i was asked to create a fantasy landscape image in Burton. We could make it as vibrant or as simple as we want. For my image i took a picture of me leaning against a plain background so it was easier to cut out and then i took a landscape image with loads of trees in. i put these two images in to photoshop and cut the image of me out and pasted on to the trees so it looked like i was leaning on the trees.
Here is the original image the only challenge i had was creating the new shadows for the characters (me). the way i did this was creating a new layer and paint the shape and changing the opacity to make it shadowed.
If i was to do it again i would select my body and coloured it in then make it shadowed and reflex it on to the floor so it looks more like my shadow than a blob.

Holiday

For this take i was asked to take one image that summed up my holidays.  I found this task quite hard as during my summer holidays i works at silver stone race track and went out with my mates. So i thought i would take an image of a pint, as thats what i did with my mates, then i went in to photoshop and put the silver stone logo faded over the top to show what i did over the summer.
